Last weekend I got ticket on driving right shoulder.
Becasue the long traffic jam by car accient so I done this mistake.
However, this is my first ticket I ever got from police for driving almost 6 yrs.

Anyway here is my questions:

About how much it might be?
Should I wright letter to the court? (How to write?)
The change to get not convicted? (either police show up or not)
How do I minimze the cost on ticket?
Can I still go to traffic school after I went to court?

Thank you for providing your exprience and knoledge~!

The amount of traffic fines in California will vary wildly, so that only way you will know is when you get the bail notice from the court. If this is your first ticket, they will probably offer you the chance to pay the fine and go to traffic school to get it off your record.

You shouldn't right a letter to the court...it will usually be ignored or thrown out. If you want to fight the ticket, you might be offered a trial by declaration then you could submit a statement to the court..

There is not "charge" if you are found not guilty.

Your first court appearance will only be to plead guilty, not guilty or request traffic school. If you plead not guilty, you will be assigned a trial date. Most courts will let you opt for traffic school w/o having to appear.
