Through reading the bible, I noticed that the writings of Jesus talk about Jesus wanting people to have a personal relationship with God, and to avoid a formal, religious way of being with God. He talks this way for the majority during the writings where he is alive. He is point our attention towards God. Then, when he is not directly talking to people, during the trial, and after he is dead, his writing turn towards the set up of a church. I know one can quote many passages, but if you take the context as a whole from everything Jesus has said...I think he wants us to have our attention on God and not him, and that it should be a personal relationship with God...This is just my own personal opinion.

Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father but through me" He called himself "I Am" this title was given through Moses about God. he called himself God!
He didn't say much during his trial, this was to fulfill prophecy and this was foretold that he wouldn't say much.
"There is no other name under heaven where by we must be saved"
The apostles had the holy spirit to guide them and help them set up the church after Jesus left. They set up churches to worship Jesus the Christ. We are to do what they did, sing songs of worship, take the lords supper to remember his great sacrifice and we are to do this together-sounds like church to me!

I believe that Jesus was a master or saint of the highest order. A saint does not come to start a new religion, but to help us remember the essential, mystical teaching behind any of the world's religions. They encourage us to stay in the religion into which we were born, and to try to become a true practitioner of that religion.

Sometimes a new religion starts up after a saint leaves the earth plane, and this then degenerates into a social and/or political organization after the mystical teaching has been forgotten.
