Just in today's news, Bush wants to intensify troop strength, does this indicate to you an end to the war in the near future?

I can't answer your second question because I don't know, I just hope nothing destroys us. I do know that if enough people get into the anti-war movement and world peace movement we could actually achieve both an end to the Iraq War and war as a practice. The whole history of the world has been people fighting each other for more reasons then can be listed, but we're SOOO close to moving past it and EVERYONE has so much to gain from peace. I know there will always be people driven to violence due to passion, madness, discontent or wrongs commited against them, but the world never needs to see another major war between nations or groups of nations. That's what the United Nations was for in the first place and I know it sucks right now but it's the citizens of the world who have the task of making it good because it will only be as good as we make it. And when the major wars end then focassing on the smaller violent groups and work towards moderating them at least work towards making them abondon violence in the pursuit of there goals. We could then focus better on other very impotent things going on on our world and make it a healthier, more benevolent place to live for everyone. I feel like there's critically importent things we need to do to help ensure our survival as a species that we're not doing because we're busy fighting amoungst eachother, and it's practically suicidal. I'll try to pitch in towards World Peace a little bit right now, maybe nudge things in the right direction, by droppin a link or two, because, what the hell, I figure it could help a little and at the very least it couldn't hurt, and I feel like I'm doing something instead of just complaining about it.

Bush won't destroy US . . . people like you will. Wars will never go away. We will always have a battle to fight somewhere. You should prepare yourself for sacrifice if the wars ever - really - reach our shore line. Arm yourself with a positive agressive attitude to survive. We can do it.

The "war" in Iraq can't end as there's no central location for the enemy as in past wars. In answer to your second question, I certainly hope so.

Okay - let me ask YOU a question.

If your wish comes true, and we cut and run from Iraq, then what? What message would that send to our enemies? Do you really think they'd just leave us alone?
