From my research in the studies of Wicca, a pagan religion, I remember reading that it is not the way to force your religion upon others. Only those who have made the choice to following that said religion will actually follow to begin with. I don't like people who show up at my door trying to change who I am as a pagan so why should a Catholic or a Hindu like it any better. A spiritual path in life is choosen by the individual and can never be thrust upon smeone. So, no, I don't think we should go door to door proclaiming the Gods or Goddesses.

No. That is contrary to the basic fundamentals of most Pagan beliefs. Paganism finds you, the Goddess reaches out to Her children. If we did that crap we'd be as bad as some other folks I can mention. Besides, we don't need anymore weak-willed riffraff in our ranks anyway and what a good way to collect them that would be.

well, then Pagans would be just like those annoying Christians and pretty soon your whole religion concept would turn into a corrupted marketing tool for self serving Pagan evangelists and lying politicians. why ever would Pagans want that?!
keep it personal ... keep it pure.
PS. not a Pagan ... just a Heathen but i view the Pagan religions as being so much more healthy than the organized Abrahamic ones.

Well, I follow the rede and the concept of harming none. Having been on the receiving end of more than one "knock knock - have you accepted Christ as your Savior?", I certainly don't think proselytizing is harmless, despite what the proselytizers may think. And no, it doesn't help their cause. It just raises my blood pressure.

We have not been "charged" to do as such but if we did, I think it would all depend on WHERE you planned to proselytize. I would definitely avoid places like the Bible Belt otherwise there would be too great a chance of finding a burning cross on my front lawn! Yickes!

No, because we believe "to each his/her own".. there is no one right path for all.. we're all different, even within the umbrella of "Paganism". Why would I want to change the free-thinking that brought me to where I am for someone else?
Each person must follow the path that is right for her or him. It isn't one size fits all.
The Goddess accepts worship in all forms.. including those who choose not to believe in Gods/Goddesses at all.. She's just cool like that ;)

Heck, no.
For a whole lot of reasons, NO.
Primarily because the people who need to find us will, by themselves.
The kind of people who would be swayed by that kind of behavior are NOT the folks I want to claim as co-religionists.
And anyway, I have no respect for people who do the door-to-door evangelizing, so I would never want to see us become them.

They do. There are plenty idol worshipers in Hollywood. The old queen of heaven is on your horoscope site in many different forms. Venus - goddess of love. Horoscope proselytizes plenty. Mother nature or nature, tree worshipers, god in everything, plenty of goddesses here. Atheists proselytize more than anyone. Look at evolution. It is even taught in the schools. Monkey to man is the biggest lie still proselytizing. The deceiver is flourishing in the world and he is the great proselytizer and prince of this world. Satan has the biggest religion known to man.
Majority of most religions are underwritten by him.

No. Just because other people do it, doesn't mean we have to. That would be considered wring on so many levels. With those door-to-door people, I usually answer the door undressed. They don't come back after that.

Dear gods, no.
Aside from it creating an atmosphere where people are likely to claim "My god can beat up your god", it misses a major point. The gods choose their own, and call to them - that type of connection is not something that we can force.
