If that is the case it may be your pipes leading to your kitchen faucet. If it is older then you may want to make sure it is not corroded or old. Hope this helps.

Maybe the bathroom is further away from the main water line so it is filtered better before getting the the bathroom tap. The water at our house has so much chlorine in it I can't even stand the smell. I have noticed that it is not as strong in the bathroom though

I will hazard a guess that your home is lovely and clean, well-maintained and reasonably up-to-date. In that the water-delivery plumbing is all the same, the difference is probably in your nose.
A kitchen, even a clean one can hold many smells and 'memories' of smells. As water has no flavor of its own, these smells may affect your perception of how the water tastes.
In a nice clean bathroom, there is probably no, (or just a little, pleasant), fragrance, thus, your nose is not working through a lot of extra stuff as you have a drink! Result: water "tastes" better!
Best wishes!

Oh brother! Water out of your bathroom tap is no different than water out of your kitchen sink...you wash your hands with it, why would it be different...and I agree with you I love my bathroom water and maybe that's because I'm thirsty and running downstairs or to the kitchen isn't something I feel like doing:) the water is there and I'm thirsty so I drink!

Because the kitchen faucet has all sorts of rancid food bacteria lurking on it. Bathroom faucets only have poop on them.
Seriously, I think it is because it tends to be colder. If you just go to the kitchen sink for a drink, you are drinking the stale water that is in the pipes. If you drink in the bathroom, it is usually because you are already using water in there, bath, shower, toilet, sink while brushing teeth. So instead of stale pipe water, you get fresher, colder water.

I must say, I haven't found that to be true in the least. It all tastes the same to me. Of course, the sulfur smell I get when I first turn it on sometimes is cruel, so I have to filter every drop I drink.
