You should date the first answerer. You guys both have on the same hat.
Just be yourself, girls are not that hard to figure out. And you may be surprised...more than likely they may say "yes". Give it a try. "No" is not the end of the world!

It's really dependent on how confident you are. In every relationship up until I met my fiancee I was fairly certain that it wouldn't work, but I still put as much effort into it as possible, kinda like a realistic practice. Just keep in mind that a girlfriend isn't necessarily going to be a wife, but don't go be a total man-whore. Find a nice girl and ask her out, and feel it out. Maybe after a few dates, you'll start to feel that she's the one, but one thing is for sure: sitting at home under a rock is pointless.

It is OK if someone says no, because I guarantee you that someone else will say yes. Just trust yourself and be yourself and the rest shall follow when the time is right.
