I need to make a mouse trap propelled car for my Physical Science class and I was wondering if anyone already did something like that or can provide me with instructions.

I did this in 8th grade.

What you do is attach a large rod to the mouse trap, and then attach a long piece of string to the end of the rod. With the other end of the string, wrap it around an axle of your car.

That way, when the mouse trap snaps, the rod pulls the string, causing the wheel axle to rotate, causing your car to move forward.

When I did it, I did it with K'nex pieces. Tip: The bigger your wheels, rod, and string are the further your car will go.

you need to attach a couple axles with wheels to the trap (I'd jump for the legos). You can attach a string to the lever arm of the trap and wrap it around the axle. I would suggest putting in a semicircular piece of something under the bar to direct the string and get more bang for your buck. Be sure to rub the axle down with a pencil beforehand; graphite is a great lubricant.
