You can treat them as the same - the difference in resolution is too small to notice. Instead, look at reviews for these cameras to find out if they differ in other respects. Two good sites for camera reviews are:

not the same, for you see an extra .1. but it is almost a non-noticeable difference as for quality and size of the photo's you are taking.

When your talking .1 of a difference, just buy the camera that you like the feel of or the looks the best. dont worry about .1 mega pixel

No, there is a .1 after the 5.1 and a .0 after the 5. Of course they are different.

Not knowing that much about MP's,the difference is in the number only....you won't see a difference.
