Everytime I call my mom's house her nosey boyfriend tries to get info out of me before turning over the phone to her. I can't stand it. It's to the point where I dread calling because I don't want to deal with him everytime. The conversation goes like this everytime: Me: Hey BlahBlah is my mom there? Him: Yes... Whats wrong? Me: Nothing, why? Him: You sure?? It sounds like something is wrong. Me: No, nothing is..you always say that. Him: Tell me what's wrong. Me: Nothing..I swear! then he finally hands the phone over when he realizes I am not going to give him any info. I can't stand it! It's like he is afraid he will miss something or has to know what we're talking about.
One time I totally cut him off and told him to put my Mom on the phone. But I know that he probably bugged my mom after we hung up asking what my problem was, and he went right back to asking next time. What would you do to stop this? I really don't feel like causing drama by being nasty but I am sick of it.

When he asks what is wrong..tell him. Say, "Whats wrong is, I dread calling here because everytime I do we have to have this same stupid conversation about nothing being wrong." Also tell him, if there was something wrong, you need to talk to your mom, not him. You can also be blunt and say "Will you just put my Mom on the phone, I'm tired of doing this every time I call." It might be a little rude, but maybe he will stop.
Or go the other route and make up some really long, detailed boring sob story about a broken nail or something!

You can do one of several things. Just grin and bear it; continuing to call your mom even if he doesn't stop. Tell him he's a little nosy b i t c h and to quit bugging you. Invent some hair -brained story that will knock his nosy a s s out! Tell him (sobbing and and distraught) that you can't stand your lesbian lover anymore because she has gotten you addicted to heroin which in turn has gotten you in a lot of trouble at work. That will give the little busy-body something to worry about. Do this, with a different outlandish story every time until he gets the message! Have some fun instead of making your life momentarily miserable every time you call your mom.

Speak with your mother an pick a certin time to call that way she will answer the phone and not him..... but in this kinda situation you may have to get nasty because he will just bug her.... so next time I would just say..." is My mother there I want to speak with her...' and if he starts just say I want to talk to my mother.....
If that doesn;t work then you need to speak with him and let him know how you feel about his questioning of you... and tell him you are getting annoyed by it and when you call nothing is wrong you just would like to speak with your mother

Well, maybe he`s trying to get to know you better & help you get comfortable with him because after all, he might marry your mom. You never know.. He just wants you to know that he`s there for you if your mom isn`t there to help. It`s either that or he`s nosey & if he continues this, in an annoying way tell him " I feel like your a little too nosey & want to know everything that`s wrong. i know your intentions are good but when I need someone to talk to about my problems & my mom isn`t there, i will come to you for advice okayy?"

I would polightly ask him why he always ask those questions all the time and if he does not give you reasonable answer if he keeps it up and does not care on what you have to say does listen to what5 you have to say then I would talk to your mom about it and tell her he bugs you and you do not like the fact that he asks you all those questions all the time... JUst tell him to stop asking you all those wquestions.

Just start calling your mom on her cell phone, let her know that her boyfriend makes you uncomfortable because he is so nosy and you would rather not talk to him if at all possible. There is no law that says that you have to bond with your moms boyfriend.

Tell him your having bad cramps and need to talk to your mom...or you were wondering if she has tampons...that should get him off the phone...
