Like what if I just do cardio everyday and weights three days. Or can I do weights every day? Trying to get some fat off my gut and waist. Any suggestions.

It's good to do cardio every day for a minimum of 30 minutes, although you can break it up into 10-15 min segments.

Weights you can do every day so long as you don't work on the same muscles everyday. They need 48 hours to repair.

Keep in mind that cardio & weights won't do much for a flabby tummy. It will only tone the underlying muscle, not the fat on top.

You can see my blog below for a chart that roughly describes the pounded needed to lose to drop a size.

Cardio can be done every day, it is the weightlifting that requires resting. If you want to optimize the effects of all of the hard work you're doing (and way to go on getting in shape!), work different muscle groups with the weights each day so that they get ample resting & rebuilding time. I lost weight by doing an Atkins-inspired diet & working out 5 days a week, so don't feel like you HAVE to do 7 days a week. But doing cardio every day should be fine, just don't over do it-- the cardio's what's really burning off fat for you.

It's easy. Just do it. Fast walking is the best. Do it daily for no less than half hour. Do a no carb diet like adkins. You'll lose alot if you exercise and diet everyday for 30 days. Say no to pop, alcohol, & sweets. It's only 30 days. You'll be glad you did. I did the Cambridge diet and lost over 40lbs the first month. So far on it for 6 months and lost over 90lbs. Started out at 315. Got 30 more to get off. I walk 2 sessions of 45 min each daily. Either get on the stationary bike or walk the mall when the weather is lousy. I'm retired and feel great. Just Do It!

Cardio every day. You should do at least 90 minutes 3 days a week, 60 mins on 2 days, and 30 mins the other 2.

Weights- don't do the same muscles in consecutive days. Go every other day or every three days, such as arms, legs, rest, arms, legs, rest, etc.

Yes, it's safe. I've done it for years now. They key is variety.

I walk 8-10 miles per day, maintaining a 14-16 minute mile speed. Usually 5 miles in the morning and 4-5 miles in the late afternoon.
I Kickbox 3 times per week for 90 minutes per session.
I do Pilates 3 times per week for 45 minutes per session.
I lift free weights 3 times per week for 45 minutes per session.

Your body improves while you are resting. For optimal results you want to give your body at least 1 if not 2 days completely off each week.
