Considering that religion has been around for centuries, why do people continue to go against the word of God? It seems that people continously sin in the face of God. Why? Haven't they learned anything? Why is homosexuality so accepted now?
Has all these years of people preaching the word of God gone to waste?

Because it's impossible not to sin. Sinning basically means being human. You can preach all you want, for as long as you want, and you still can't change that people are people, and your religion is asking people to not be people. It's not going to work. I mean, get off the high horse and you'll have to admit that you've sinned yourself, probably frequently, during your life. See, preaching about sin isn't so much about stopping sin as it is making people feel guitly so they'll believe in all the crap you want to tell them.

Homosexuality is more accepted now because we are no longer living in the dark ages. Same reason you can't burn witches anymore.
