16 isn't young nowadays, but most parents would feel uncomfortable their daughter being with someone the same age as them but as she's 16 they would have to respect her.
if your living the the US then i think most of them would be against it, Britain is more lenient.
p.s it probably wont last, girls being with much older men is usually just a fays. neither of you should have much in common either.
i don't no what people mean by statutory rape? 16 is the legal age for consent, in the UK anyway. so its up to that 16 year old to decide who they choose to sleep with, whether anyone agrees with it or not, its their right.
personally i would not go there and I'm 22.
