I have my in-laws (Monther In Law & her boyfriend,& Sister In Law )..staying at my house for two weeks (they drove in from Texas, I live in Caly).
They know that I practically hate them and they don't care for me either... so why are they staying with us (my hubby & I) during the holidays for two weeks? I could tolerate 5 days, but two weeks is too long?
My husband has a sister that lives 5 minutes away from us. Why don't they stay with them.
It is really bothering me that they are at my house during the day sitting around and doing nothing, talking on my phone all day. It is making me sick to my stomach. I am not kidding.. Sick to my stomach.
I think they are doing this on purpose. Why is my husband allowing them to stay for so long?

Well the best advice to give you is to just keep your cool, I go to a website that is very supportive its a great place to check out and just hear how much worse it could be, they are just doing this to get to you, dont let them get the best of you, and dont kiss their a$# or anything, believe me it gets you nowhere, the websites www.ihatemyinlaws.com check it out, you could get an excellent persective as how things work and how you could apply it to your perspective.

Maybe you should have a heart to heart with your husband. Does he know how you feel about this? Did he include you in the decision to let them stay for 2 weeks? Did you have a say in it? Did you suggest a nice hotel they could stay in?
Two weeks is too long for people who you get along with, so it is MUCH too long for people you don't even like. It seems like a huge intrusion to me. Maybe next time they want to come your way, leave. They can't stay with you if you are not there to let them in.... That way they can drive back to Texas or get a hotel for their stay in Cali! You should talk to your husband about this. Perhaps both of you convince them to stay 1 week at your place and 1 week at you sister in laws.
In laws staying can be tough because they eventually get comfortable and start doling out advice.

Tell you husband that he has to tell them to go to a hotel or else you are taking off.

just tell them they can't stay, it's better than waking up in the morning knowing your gonna have to look at their ugly mugs!
