Make sure that you are using a CLEANSING shampoo. Not a moisturizing shampoo or any other type. You need Cleansing or Clarifying. Got to a hair store and search for one or ask a beautician. Most Salon's keep them in stock. The Cleansing shampoo will rinse the oils out of your hair to keep it from becoming too excessive.

Good Luck.

Baby shampoo and contitioner on the tips only... Get it trimmed pronto and ask your stylist to give you a protein treatment, which will repair your hair. Also, quit smoking and do a lot of excecise... keratin production is inhibited by nicotine. I reccmend a treatment by Sebastian called Potion 9, which you can use every day to protect and repair your hair. But a trimming is absolutely imperative. As for the oily hair, you have to use baby shampoo or any other mild shampoo. Don't buy one of those "oily hair" shampoos, because they eventually dry up your scalp and can lead to dandruff (uggghhhh!!). Finally, you have to "train" your scalp. How do you do this? The reason your hair is oily is probably because you wash it every day. Baby shampoo will help you control that... Start by washing it every other day... and then just try to extend that to every three days. All that washing is what's causing the split ends, so try to do this and your hair will slowly find a balance. You will notice that it takes a little bit longer for your hair to appear greasy... This might take from 2 to 3 weeks to happen, but it will happen if you are constant.

Rinse the hair with apple cider vinegar. Squeeze some fresh lemons to get lemon juice. Apply it on the scalp at least twice a week while washing your hair.More cheap and natural remedies for oily hair at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/oilyhair.html

Do you rinse all the shampoo out of your hair.. a VERY good rinse? If not, that's what may be weighing down your hair. Make sure to get all the shampoo out before turning off the water.

Suave Coconut and that should help and it's really cheap. But the way not to get split ends is to dry your hair really well before combing it.

you should use vive by l'ore'al Paris. they have different formulas for different types of hair. for split ends you can use garnier fructis length and strengthen. its anti-split end formula and it gets rid of split ends in about a week. you can get it a walmart or bath and body in the mall. its a small squirt bottle in the shape of a ball and its kind of like lotion of your hair. so if you use it and it looks like lotion don't freak out. :) its a small squirt bottle in the shape of a ball. Good Luck with your hair!

also u may want to skip days washing your hair. washing your hair everyday makes it tough for the hair- it strips away the oils.
