I don't know where you can find the free textbook. Maybe you can buy just it in a shop and learn yourself! I've done with Italian and Japanese the same :D! Well, I needed help with Japanese after some weeks!
But I can write you "Maria", "Vana", "Despina":
Мария, Вана, Деспина :)
Good luck with Russian ;)!
Maria=Мария :)
PS: Encoding: UTF-8

Maria has already given you the correct spellings of the names, so I won't repeat that.

As for learning via the internet there are some really dodgey sites out there, and some even have mistakes. Im trying to make a site that will be a good learning resource, perhaps in 6 months, but it can give you a good start with pronunciation and basic words and phrases.

Hope that helps, and good luck with Russian, it is a wonderful language.

How shall I positioned it... despite the fact that your synopsis of the historical past of Russian tradition used to be totally correct (and now not inducing a couple of facepalms in keeping with your traditional typical), I do not see how that might influence some thing and I'd nonetheless rattling good "dare" say "Russia for Russians". (Meaning "No More 'Russians for Russia'", alternatively than "Non-Russians Get Out". Being a Russian nationalist in this day and age particularly approach saying your valued at as some thing rather then "the cement of a first-class state"; in different phrases, refusing to be any individual of whom self-denial for a few or different noble motive is usually anticipated.) The factor approximately tradition (you are too dumb to realize this, I'm talking for the sake of passers-by way of) is that it is a) now not inalienable and b) now not the irreplaceable facet of nationhood. Suppose a horde of barbarians got here and mentioned for your men and women: "we are going to kill each certainly one of you, however we promise to not permit your tradition perish: we will begin talking your language, dressing such as you, constructing residences on your form, and so forth. Now despite the fact that you by hook or by crook knew they have been flawlessly sincere, and if a excellent imitation used to be by hook or by crook possible, might you settle? I do not feel so. That used to be Konstantin Krylov's argument that gained me over to civic nationalism a couple of years in the past. And on a much less critical notice, maybe now we have had a stricken historical past accurately in view that all the ones men and women jumped in and did not allow us to make our possess stuff?
