I have read of 165 lb men bench pressing up to 450 lbs, but I am sure that is not the limit. It would depend on how hard that person wanted to work at it.

It all depends on fitness, and muscle density. But if you are looking for a numerical answer. I am approx. 165 lbs and I max out at 200 lbs. I consider myself fit, but I am not gym rat. A good rule of thumb is if you can bench your own weight about 6-10 reps, you are pretty strong.

Hi dustin!

It depends on form, supplements, etc. I did 325 at about that weight. I would some somewhere between 350-400 pounds is the high end. At the low end, about the body weight.

I believe this answers your question, but if not, you may email me.

Good luck on your diet and fitness goals!

i am not sure it depends on how you work out and how often. i weigh 135 and can bench around 180. i train to be a wrestler when i get out of high school. if you are just starting you should start at around 50-100lbs then add about 5-10lbs when you feel you can go higher. most people should be able to lift their own weight.

depends...ppl are different. some guys cant pick up a 15 lb dumbbell and then some can max out at twice their weight. start little and then add more as u go along. if u are trying to max out then do it til u cant go past 1 rep. if u are trying to build then u need to be able to do at least 10-15 reps for 2-3 sets.

It depends on how strong their will is. their are some that could bench over their own weight. its not all physical. mental plays a strong role when it comes to doing things that seems impossible, but upon your question, At least his or her own weight.

If I was high as a kite and has some sweet snatch box.
