I see all kinds of questions about what do you think about the war..
The quotes I posted were not directly towards anyone in the military (especially the one about SM's not thinking..). The ones I posted were the ones that were more understanding to some people (SMT's) but the link is what I wanted people to see. It contains good research links/books for them look at & read before they start popping off at the mouth.
Thats why i posted this question.

only p : I thought long & hard about joining the military. It was a choice I knew I would make since I was a young girl. The military runs through my blood & genes.

all these quotes point in some way or the other to WAR.
I agree to some and disagree to the others. But generally speaking all of them are true in their own sense.
But if we are to ponder on this issue, we must first understand what we ourselves are, what is war and why is war.
I have an interesting book on that subject (collected from Internet). Its called Origin of War. Its a sociology-evolutionary biology attempt to understand the all destructive nature of the living world - manifested by WAR.
Its a long discussion. If you want to share more, feel free to mail me.
Have fun and enjoy every moment that you feel you're not into a war of some kind.

I am not sure what question your asking? I think those are some very accurate quotes. They make sense. The quotes I like best of those are the one about world war III and the one about if soldiers were to begin to think they would not remain in the Army. It is soooooooo true! My husband just got out of the Army.

Taken in their historical context, they have some bit of truth, but none is written in stone, though Hart's translation of the old Roman dictum comes close. Friedrich's soldiers, for instance, were quite unlike those of the twentieth century, much less the 21st.

Some are valid. I disagree with the quote about soldiers not thinking. Most soldiers have thought very hard and long about the choice they made to protect our nation.
