How can I get my hair like this? I love the poofy retro look! But I don't know anyone who can do rolls and I have a book that explains it but I'm still confused!

A lot of backcombing and curlers... Place them from front to back after applying mousse on your damp hair, set to dry and once that's over and done with brush thouroughly and start backcombimg.... Once you look like an 80's hair band idol with all your hair standing on end apply a light coat of mild hairspray before gently combing back your hair to accomodate it in place. Then use bobby pins to hold it back at the sides... I run a show of 60's go-go girls and I frequently find myself doing their hair so I know what I'm talking about! ;)
