It is passed genetically from generation to generation. My grandfather had it and it was passed to me and a few of my cousins by none of his children got it. If thorough the day your skin just feels dry then just put some Vaseline on it and it will get better. most people say that theirs is worse in the winter but mine is worse in the summer because of the humidity. GOOD LUCK!!!

To make it go away get some hydrocortisone at least (1.5 or 2.0 %) it works really good but you have to stop scratching. I had it on my hands and on my stomach and you put the stuff on there every time you wash your hands and right before you go to bed and don't scratch!!!

Well exzema, is comman, i do have it. Go to the doctor and see if he perscribes it as exzema, and then your doctor will most likely give you some cream or something to put on it. Or maybe you just have dry skin. I suggest this lotion, i cant think of the name off the top of my head, it is like... something with an E and is is white but then turns blue at the top of the botlle

I have exzema, and if you have it, you had it since birth. All you can do is go to the store and get some Cortizone cream and put on the dry areas. Or you can go to your dermatologist and get a prescription.

you may be like myself-i have seasonal eczema-when it's colder my skin starts to crack and gets really dry on patches of my body and my head too.I use lots of super moisturizing lotion or cream-creams work good at night immediately after a shower-or you can go to your doctor and he/she can prescribe certain creams/lotions that are medicated------BTW the lotion Mandy is recommending is EUCERIN
