There are lots of nice places to go in Reading it depends what kind of food you both like. Chillis at the Oracle has great views if you get a window seat but may not be very romantic as I don't think the meals are candle lit. London St Brasserie has apparantly won awards for its food. There is a nice pizza place on the square near the Forbury. Caversham has some good restaurants - there is a Greek one and Italian one on Prospect Street. A great place for dessert, coffee or a drink is The Island off Caversham Bridge. Hope that helps!

Not sure of your question, but I think you are asking for the best place to eat on your first date? Some place not too expensive but also not too cheap. . .it just depends on where you want to go and what you like to eat. . .it might be fun to decide together.
