I have recently moved to the USA from the UK and have had problems with monies owed to me by former employers. I have run up some pretty big debts on UK credit cards in the process and I'm finding it very difficult to make ends meet what with the exchange rates and other bills.

If I just stop paying my credit card bill, can the Credi Card company catch up with me in the US ?

i used to artwork with between the credit status businesses. many times there will be plenty like Tesco, M&S, Egg. yet by way of cutting-edge credit crunch each lender had raised their credit status decrease with the help of a minimum of three hundred factors. credit rankings are out of 1000. those who've been bankrupt's score receives reset to between 0 and one hundred and it takes years strengthen it back. Sorry if this hasn't helped.

Probably not, they will probably just write it off and ding your credit. That is one reason that credit card rates are so high, they have already factored in a certain percentage of 'write off'. They, in effect, have already been paid by excessive interest rates.

You bet they'll find you ! Or they'll try !

they'll sell you account to a collection agency. Maybe they'll have a branch in USA.

Paying is the best bet.

Oh well I am sure they will be able to trace you via this Question you have asked.

Most banks have sophisticated systems these days and eventually they will get you , unless you live in Iraq or Iran or even Timbuktoo.
