What you can do to prevent constipation ?
Eat foods with fibre every day. Fibre helps waste
move through your digestive system.
• Eat lots of whole grain breads and cereals.
• Eat fruits and vegetables.
• Eat prunes and prune juice. Prunes contain a
natural laxative, as well as fibre.
• Bran has lots of fibre. An easy way to eat bran is
to sprinkle it on soups, casseroles, yogurt or hot
cereal. This can help if chewing is difficult for you.
• When you want to add fibre to your diet, slowly
increase the amount you eat. Take 2 to 3 weeks,
adding a little more each day. This will prevent you
from bloating and having gas.
• Here are some good sources of fibre: natural bran;
bran cereals; bran muffins; flour made from whole
grains; breads made from whole grains; lentils, split
peas and beans; whole grain cereals like Red Riverâ¢,
Shredded Wheatâ¢, and Grapenut Flakesâ¢; nuts;
seeds; vegetables; and fruit.
Enjoy being active every day:
• Exercise helps prevent constipation. This includes
walking, stretching, housework, swimming and
riding a bicycle.
• Find some activities that you enjoy. You’re more
likely stay active if you have fun while you exercise.
Don’t use too many laxatives:
• Use laxatives for a short time and only when you
need them. If you have been using them for a long
time, talk to your doctor.
• Using laxatives for a long time can cause
constipation or make it worse. Your bowels might
eventually need laxatives to work.

You need to add more fiber to your diet and increase your fluid intake. Eat more raw veggies and whole grain items. Add a fiber supplement such as Metamucil, citrucel or benefiber to your daily routine. Add colace aka docusate several times daily as a stool softener until you get your constipation under control. Be sure you get plenty of exercise. Above all try to find out what is causing your constipation and eliminate the cause.

Well, there are some daily fiber tablets that you can take. Or, if you are feeling constipated on a regular basis, you need to include more fiber in your diet. Some good things are: Fig Newtons, fiber one cereal, and whole grain waffles.

I have had this problem many times due to my thyroid condition. Drink more water and exercise. Also, try adding walnuts or almonds to your cereal or eat a handful of them alone. I also have been taking raw apple cider vinegar before dinner. It has helped with the constipation and it also helped with heartburn.

Well...sugar pie...you need more fiber. Get some of those little packets of oatmeal in all those flavors and eat a few packages before bedtime. Have some Raisin Bran, the cereal with the happy little sunshine on the front. You know why that sunshine is smiling? Because she eats her fiber, too!

Eat an onion.
Eat about 10 to 12 prunes.
Eat about 4 to 8 ounces of sauerkraut.
Learn about other foods that contain "ROUGHAGE." WIthout roughage, your digestive track will not be stimulated to move food along at a pace fast enough to prevent constipation.
These are, btw, individual cures - I do at least one every other day (usually by adding dieced onion to a meal). Don't try all of them at once....unless you spend the day REALLY close to the restroom.

Drink lotsa water and eat fiber. You can also go to the drug store and see what kind of medicine they have. They have all kinds, another thing you can do is go to the bathroom more often.
Hope I helped! Have a very Merry Christmas!
