I assume you want to do it without her knowing?
Borrow one of her other rings. You can take it to the jeweler for sizing, or get a simple sizing chart from the jeweler or online. Be sure to put the ring back before she notices.
Or, the next time you hold her hand, compare her fingers to yours - try to eyeball to see if her ring finger is close in diameter to your pinky, the top of your thumb, whatever. Then have the jeweler measure that. It won't be exact, but you can always get the ring resized later.

well, my boyfriend (at the time, now husband) took a ring out of my jewelry box and took it with him...however he took a ring that went on my pointer finger so it was HUGE on my ring finger...nice try, honey!! It was sized down for no charge after the big proposal. Most average women are a 6 or 7...I happen to be a 5, but I'm tiny finger! They can fix it after...just dont go too small..harder to size up!

Have a friend of her's take her to a ring shop to just try on some rings... just for fun.....like only girlfriends can do.... and report back to you what she finds out!!! Makes it a fun thing to talk about after the wedding..... LOL!!
Also if you look in an Avon book there is a ring sizer. Hold one of her rings up to the circle and see which one is the best fit!
Good Luck!

Take he to the jewelry store, and have her pick out a ring. They will size it to fit the specific finger.

The circunference of the finger in measured in centimeters is the actual ring size.
So get a piece of yarn or even a long hair and wrap it around her wedding finger while she is asleeep, and measure it in centimeters... and voila! that's the ring size.
If she is thin, then probably she is a size 6
If she is average, then a size 7
Good luck

you need to get her finger measured at the jeweler. Or if you know a ring that fits on that finger take it with you to the jeweler so they can measure it.

If it's a wedding ring she knows you're getting married so ask.
If you meant engagement ring, take a ring that she has and put it on your pinky, see were it reaches to. Use that as your guide when at the jewler.

Most average size women wear a size 7 and if they are a little heavier a size 8. If you ask a friend of hers or her mom I'm sure one of them knows or can ask her without her getting suspicious.

Take her browsing so they can size the finger as you guys look. Tell her you would like some ideas of what she likes. Then go back later without her to pick it out and order it.
