problem is that i have played this on a new camera and it only shows lines. sound is ok. this tape is important to me so if anyone knows of a program that i can use to convert it. maby i can load it on to my pc and use a program on it or something. any help would be great

Really you'd need a camcorder that can play NTSC DV to transfer to your pc and then convert it to PAL and even then it won't be an ideal result if you don't have everything needed. It would be best to get somebody local to you to do a professional standards transfer onto DVD for you.look for NTSC DV standards transfer on Google/Yahoo or in your yellow pages under video services.It may cost you around £10-£15.
