Mail them. If they are prerecorded, customs duty is not charged on single DVDs.

The United States Postal Service. Either by Global Priority Mail (the quickest), Air letter Post if they don't weigh to much or Air Parcel Post (insureable). I mail all kinds of things all over the planet. Mailing DVDs to the U.K. is not a problem.
There is a problem if your friend does not have a region free DVD player or a U.S. DVD player. Just like VHS tapes they are made for different parts of the world.

Be aware that DVDs purchased in the US will not work on European DVD players. Your friend must have a US DVD player, which will require an electric adapter. However, there are expensive DVD players out there that will play either type. There is some sort of coding that causes this to happen. The same was true back in the day with VHS tapes. Good Luck!

Call FedEx or DHL or UPS and ask them for help. It may be illegale to send the DVDs depending on what they are and you have to make sure your friend here has a region free DVD player or that the DVDs you are sending are multi-region. As a standard USA DVDs do not work on UK DVD players. This can be worked around however.

Well... i know it's going to sound a bit radical... but give this a try.

package it up
write the address on the front
go to post office
pay for the postage costs and hand it to the clerk.
risky.. but it might just get to the destination.

Failing that try a carrier pidgeon! but make sure it's a British one he will know the way.

use the postal service HOWEVER if they are copied dvds you need to state that they are JUST disks not dvd material, customs will grab it. Also if you are sending legit dvds better make sure they will play on their dvd player!

Don't bother. American DVD's won't play on a British DVD player, unless she / he has a region free DVD player. The US is region 1. The UK is different.

I send D.V.Ds to Canada, and put them in a bubble envelope then post them at the Post Office.
