While Winrar is designed specially for the .rar format it's actually shareware however so far after the 45 days has finished all you get is a nag screen and still full functionality as far as I know but if you want a free program to handle these and other compressed formats there's a few around. Like 7zip and something else, Winzip used to let you use it's product with full functionality as far as I know after the trial has expired but now it doesn't so if you're not planning on buying it get something else to use .zip files with.I'm thinking of looking of using a freeware program myself. By the way aren't crack sites hugely risky in terms of malware? Not to mention the legal problems.

They are compressed file, basically just like a .zip file. I use AlZip to access compressed files, it can handle MANY different types (including zip and rar).

in simple terms perfect click on the report and there could be an option that asserts extract data. click that and it will make a clean folder the call of the rar report and each and all the track will grow to be itunes track in that new report. all your track is now in that new report. If u intend to make it returned right into a .rar report in simple terms perfect click and click archive and it would turn all that track returned into the archive.

It's a compressed file with files inside of it, an archive. It can reduce the size of files. Like .zip, .ace, and other compression formats. It doesn't reduce the size well when you try to compress a format that is compressed already (like encoded .avi, .mp3).
WinRAR handles these files, a lot of others do too, but WinRAR is the program that made this format and it handles them better:
