why is it that businesses usually have posters saying happy holidays and after xmas they have posters saying after xmas sales event? seems kinda of ironic that "merry xmas" is too politically incorrect because it might offend 15% of the country, but "after xmas" is just fine. and since many businesses also post "happy new year"(along with happy holidays), its usually not included as one of the "holidays" in the phrase "happy holidays". this whole happy holidays crap is pissing me off. the majority appeasing the minority. when i asked about this stupidity, someone actually answered bring up the phrase "tyranny of the majority" -is posting "merry xmas" a sign of religious tyranny? if youre so offended then you need to see a doctor, or else have enough backbone to ignore it if you dont like it.

It's not offensive in the sense that we all melt when we see it. But what if all signs said "Happy Kwanzaa!" And totally ignored your celebration?
I don't see anything wrong with having "holidays" to include everyone.
Plus, it's not our fault the majority of people in the US are Christian.

Happy Holidays refers to all religious holidays during this time, Christmas, Hanukkah, the Winter Solstice, Festivus, Kwanzaa, Yule, what have you. It's polite and all inclusive, so no one feels left out. After Christmas sales are literally after Christmas, not after any of the other holidays. Is that plain enough for you, or do I need to dumb it down more?

This issue has been over addressed. I am a Christ follower, but I believe in a freedom of speech. If someone wants to call it devilmas, they should be free. The truth is Christmas has nothing to do with Christ. We use it to celebrate His birth, but it has been proven he was born no where around December.

If you want to do something cool. Figure out when Christ was really born and create a new holiday. Furthermore, let figure out when he actually was crucified and cancel Easter.

Not everyone celebrates Christmas.
"xmas" is nothing more than an abbreviation.

Stop whining and give up the Persecution Complex.
