many months back I used to go to see this guy at his place of employment. He was always really happy when I did this. I really like him, but I have never been sure that he liked me, so I was distant and only went there like once a month. When I left he said "see you next year". This was during the summer, so don';t get the present mixed up in this. Why do you think he said this? Do you think he said this because I stayed away so long during each visit and......................what?

He was telling you that you wait too long to see him. He wants you to come around more often.

Maybe he was just being sarcastic! He assumes that you will not be visiting him at work anytime soon. This may be as a result of the time period between each visits. There is no harm done. If you are really interested in this guy, try visiting him more often, not only at work.

I think he was just trying to be funny but obviously you read more into it than he intended. Find a reason to go back to his place of work and just be yourself. If he likes you you will know. If not then you have found someone at work to have a giggle with now and again.

It was a way to get YOU to open up and further investigate. Sounds like he too is testing the waters. Ask him out for a cup of coffee.

If he's a sarcastic type and likes to play jokes, he wan'ts you to visit more often. Or, maybe he was just throwing a curveball and wanted to see your reaction because he likes you.

Probably as a joke on you not visiting often enough. Don't take the comment too seriously. i'm sure it meant something inconsequential.

It would seem to me that he's only a seasonal (summer) employee.
Did you call to see if he's still working there?
