Depends upon what you're looking for and what you're eating so why limit yourself to one.

Here's the order I like my hot sauces. I have at least one bottle from each category.

1. I like Louisiana style Hot Sauces - they're only slightly hot being made from cayenne pepper, but have a nice vinegar taste to it. They bring a lot of flavor, plus they're inexpensive.
Brands include
Crystal
Louisiana
Texas Pete
Trappey's
Franks Red Hot

2. Asian style sauce - Huy Fong Sriracha is good... good heat and a touch of garlic. See link below for picture.

3. Mexican style hot sauce are good. They're only slightly hot, similar to Louisiana hot sauces, but have more of a chili powder flavor to them.
Brands are
Tapatio - more heat good flavor
Cholula - milder

4. If you're looking for heat and flavor, look for habanero hot sauces. I recommend habanero hot sauce with some type of fruit mixed in. The habanero has a fruity finish and the added fruit enhances the flavor. Tobasco also makes a habanero hot sauce, but it's only okay.

5.Tobasco is okay - just heat not much flavor.

I'm really stuck on Louisiana Hot Sauce, and Frank's Red Hot. I won't even touch Tabasco anymore.

In my opinion it would be one of the Piri Piri sauces made from Portugese or African bird peppers.
