can you help me out please, I was having a converation on the phone with my boyfriend on the phone, we've been having a hard time lately, i told him that i wanted probably more than he could give or wanted to give, i.e. i feel there are others and i told him i wanted to be the only one, he said, he said i don't know the answer to what you've just said, then he asked me to marry him, in the excitement i said yes then i got to thinking about what he said when i said i wanted to be the only one. i do love him but it is playing on my mind. what do you suggest i do? Would you say if i love him i should take the risk of him going with others besides me and marry him or tell him his answer has hurt me and throw everything up in the air and ask him what he meant by it? would loving him be to approach him about it and leave if he can't be faithful or hang around and accept he wants to marry me but doesnt want to be faithful to me? Please think seriously and help me find the answer to this

I'd say you are not ready for marriage yet, as you have got doubts.

Wow. Take a step back. It sounds as though you were getting ready to break up with him, now you're thinking of marrying him? You 2 need to sit down and have a long talk about what each of you wants from the other, and what you're serious about. Also, if you feel that he is seeing other people...that is no way to start, or end a marriage. Find out if he is seeing other people, or if he just wants to be with you. Just talk to each other...that is the only way to figure things out.

His answer"i dont know the answer to what you said" should of been "you are the only one tell me why you feel that way". Did he just ask you to marry him to keep you sweet so he can have his cake and eat it! Sit down with him and talk this through before you make any decisions you would regret in the future.

I think he threw the "will you marry me" to avoid the question you asked. Knowing it would throw you off track. I think you need to sit down with him and have a serious conversation about this. Marriage is not to be taken lightly. I think if your not totally sure this person will be faithful and love you for the rest of your life, you should not even think about marriage until you know for sure.

anytime you find yourself doubting anything then you need to think about it twice. if you really want to know that you have made the right decision then you will have peace and if you aint getting peace on this one i would say bring up that conversation again and this time in person dont discuss serious issues on the phone you are better of discussing this when you are together.

Any time you are questioning it you can't be sure and to marry someone you really should be sure that its the right thing to do for you.
