It looks like mandibular resorption. You need to see an oral surgeon.

In my opinion it shows root damage to a tooth. To me it would indicate some sort of care be taken. I am not sure if root canal work is the answer, but something has to be done before it gets any worst and infection and/or loss of tooth is the result. In fact maybe extraction just might be the only thing left or scaling under the gum line.

It looks as if the tooth is infected. Does the tooth bother the person. It may also be a cyst. I see that you had a filling done. and I also see that on the right hand side of the tooth, it is starting to lose the root. Make sure you are brushing your teeth. Only calculus (or plaque) can cause that, unless everyone in your family has bad teeth.

It looks to me like an infection has developed that would require a root canal or an extraction. OOPS Mrs Smarty Pants wasn't there when I wrote this, but I think she is right on the money. However if this is your tooth or somebody you know, you need to have a dentist's opinion and not rely on the people on answers.

This is a severe tooth abscess! It looks really progressed. This tooth will need a root canal, but before that can be done, the person will need to start on antibiotics and be on them for at least one day before the procedure is done. Who ever this tooth belongs to really needs to see the dentist and have this done, a tooth abscess, left untreated can leak toxins in to the blood stream and you can get VERY ill and sometimes die. Good luck.

This radiograph appears to have a developing radio-opacity. Depending upon many factors, a diagnosis could then be made.

I'm not a dentist or anything like that but they looked similar to mine when I needed a root canal.
