If you go to the bottom of the Y! Answers page and click on Australia, you will find almost no spelling errors or grammar errors. Of course, we all can see that almost half the questions in the American section are unreadable.

This is almost a joke - part truth - coming from an American.

that's common. enable me convenience you with the help of telling you that I said grammatical and spelling blunders. you're also utilizing too many commas. you at the on the spot are not as lazy or (hence) dumb sounding as maximum 13 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds yet you at the on the spot are not fantastic. basically because you're writing wisely does not recommend you're writing "grown up." i have seen a large number of adults make a large number of dumb blunders of their writing. to jot down wisely isn't a correct high quality of being an man or woman. that is a correct high quality of being knowledgeable and unlazy. Edit: ok enable's edit this basically so that you'll get some extra factors on your paper. there are quite some theories on who betrayed the Franks and the others who took up position of abode on the “secret Annex." An Australian author believes that a cleansing woman, whose husband worked for Mr. Frank, tipped the police off. She would were suspicious of pastime upstairs, and probably the e book case, which received't were there beforehand. This - "Franks’" is possesive, belonging to the Franks. once you've a noun ending in "s" and positioned an apostrophe after it it turns into posessive. ", and others " positioned your comma AFTER the coordinating conjunction. The comma replaced into unnecessary right here besides although. “secret Annex”. The punctuation is going interior the prices. "An Australian author" that is obscure sounding, that's more beneficial to positioned the call (first and very last the first time you factor out the author, very last for all following circumstances) because you want to sound confident of each little thing you're declaring once you write an essay. An essay should be finished of concrete data and diagnosis. you do not say, "i imagine it replaced into..." you're saying, "it replaced into..." "whose husband worked for Mr. Frank, who tipped the police off" Too many "who" sounds, and the 2d who's senseless besides.

Actually, I thought the spelling in Australia was appalling, when I studied there. As a foreign student, I queried my English teacher of what the correct spelling or privilege was, and she didn't know.

I feel that perhaps people who only speak one language are at a disadvantage learning grammar. I always spell correctly even though English is not my first language, but my third.

With the way things are going here, every country will be better at everything than Americans. We've become lax and are getting behind, especially in education! The kids we turn out of school here are dummies compared to the kids in China and other countries! The America we all know and love is going down hill so fast I don't think we can save her! We all need to start learning Chinese now, they are going to be the next world leaders!

It probably has more to do with how much more accessible the internet is in America. Any jerk can access the internet from his phone in America.
