It depends on the type of birth control.

The pill seems to be the safest, but also the most annoying since you have to remember to take a pill everyday.

The shot seems to be the easiest, but a lot of women put on a bit of weight from the shot.

The patch is also easy, but some women experience blood clots, and seeing a patch when you're butt naked isn't all that sexy.

Then you have the vaginal foam which is effective, but messy. You have to apply it before every 'time' (like a condom) and sometimes it can give a very slight burning sensation to either the man or the woman

Hope this helps

UH??? NO! Being on birth control.... is a smart thing. She doesn't want to get pregnant YET! Side effects are minimal in most cases and are not serious.

Well first of all is her chioce to be in birth control and I applaude her for it. By experience when BOYFRIENDS fall in love with you they want to pressure you to have kids right away. Yeah so easy for them to ask. Changes ? well is up to her GYN, they pick the right birth control according from her health history because birth control only affects a woman if they are over the age of 35, heavy smoker and alcohol users, overweight woman aren't recommend to be in control, and woman who take drugs, do your research, according from studies. I suggest you to attend with her on her doctors appointment for birth control. Anyways, she will be fine.

it depends on who the person is. if your girl friend is a good girl friend the she would not allow her mood swings mess up ya'll good relations. Also birth control can make your girl get either fat or skinny. but the way you describe her she must be a good girl and i don't think that there would be a big change.
