Custard.....with a nip or 2 or 3 or 4 of brandy in it!

I put the cream with the C. P. because the thickness of custard would make it a very heavy pudding.

I use the custard with mince pies instead because it adds richness to the pastry.

To be honest, it's up to the diner.

Christmas pudding and custard is a bit chavvy but you should serve it with the option of having it with custard, cream or Brandy sauce.

think Christmas pudding is always nice with custard , but after you pour your brandy on and light it , taste´s better with cream Merry Christmas
