How do you make home made hot chocolate? I want to make it on Christmas eve with my daughter and leave it for Santa.

Fluffy Hot Chocolate

INGREDIENTS
8 teaspoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking cocoa
4 cups milk
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan, combine the first four ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat until the marshmallows are melted, about 8 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla. Ladle into mugs.

Creamy Hot Chocolate
1 (14 oz. can) sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
6 1/2 cups hot water

Combine all except water in large saucepan. Over medium heat, stir in water until hot. Top with marshmallows if desired. This recipe can easily be doubled or even tripled. Leftover hot chocolate can be stored in refrigerator up to 5 days. Mix well and reheat before serving.


White Hot Chocolate
3 C. Half and Half Cream, divided
1/2 C. Vanilla Baking Chips
1 Cinnamon Stick
1/8 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1/4 tsp. Almond Extract
Ground Cinnamon, Optional

In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup cream, vanilla chips, cinnamon stick and nutmeg. Stir over low heat until chips are melted; discard cinnamon stick. Add remaining cream; stir until heated through. Remove from the heat; add extracts. Sprinkle each serving with ground cinnamon if you like.

decide how much hot chocolate you would like to make. Put whole milk in a saucepan on low heat. Careful not to boil it. Chop up really fine or grate a chunk of semi-sweet chocolate and add to the warm milk stirring constantly allowing chocolate to melt. When hot pour into cups and if desired add a candy cane for a chocolate mint flavor

INGREDIENTS 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 3/4 cup white sugar 1 pinch salt 1/3 cup boiling water 3 1/2 cups milk 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup half-and-half cream DIRECTIONS Combine the cocoa, sugar and pinch of salt in a saucepan. Blend in the boiling water. Bring this mixture to an easy boil while you stir. Simmer and stir for about 2 minutes. Watch that it doesn't scorch. Stir in 3 1/2 cups of milk and heat until very hot, but do not boil! Remove from heat and add vanilla. Divide between 4 mugs. Add the cream to the mugs of cocoa to cool it to drinking temperature.

Mix packet of chocolate or cocoa into cup of hot water, stir and serve.

1 Cup of milk (i think a cup- you may need to add more not sure)
1 milky way candy bar

put milk and candy bar in pot and heat until bar has dissolved
