I find it to be the height of rudeness to be at a lunch with a friend or something and have them start talking about what they did last week with another friend. I make a huge effort to never bring up other friends when I should be giving the impression that I am having a wonderful time with the friend I am with. Does anyone else agree?

Actually I do agree. I hate that! I also hate when I'm talking to someone about a family member, and they go on, and on to tell you about a family member of theres that resembles this person. I think it issss very rude. But your right!!! Keep that crpa to yourself, NO ONE cares about the FUN you had with someone else. Especially if were suppossed to be enjoying one anothers company!

The bragging aspect is undesirable, but sharing is good. I don't see my friends frequently enough so hearing how they spend their time is fulfilling. I'm not jealous of their time with others, after all their other friendships are hand-picked, just like the one I enjoy.

I don't think it's rude to share what happening in ones life with a friend. It's what friends do. Perhaps there's a little bit of envy or jealousy involved with this. Perhaps a bit of self examination will answer the true issue here.

I've never really seen it that way before. I don't think it's rude if the friend the person is talking about is your friend too.

i find that quite rude also. that is no time to tell someone else how much fun they were having with someone else the other day. kind of makes you feel like they were having a better time with them than they are having with you. dont think its right.

i disagree.....
you are allowed to have more than one friend...
and hopefully you will have a great time with whichever friend you hang out with....
