Windows Vista is both 32bit AND 64bit depending on the version you buy. All versions of Vista including ultimate come in both 32 and 64...

Yes. It's either 32 or 64 depending on the version you buy. Unfortunately, 32 bit drivers won't work on the 64-bit version at all, and 32 bit apps only work in a compatibility layer, so Microsoft is once again screwing up the upgrade path.

Mac OS X applications and drivers can be any combination of 32 and 64 bit, so the transition is seemless and transparent to the user. Get a Mac. It's better not only because of its much better security!

Windows Vista will come in both 32 and 64-bit on the DVD-ROMs for almost all editions. You can read more about it here:

Windows Vista is out in 32bit and 64bit.
But 64bit is bad because most old hardware and software may not work AT ALL.
