Preservatives are never really good for babies or you. You need to be healthy. Canned foods and other food items that are full of preservatives..not to mention sodium.. are very harmful to your body. You should always stick to organic or natural healthy foods if you can.

No they would surely go through your breast milk if you are that worried about it. Why would you want to take better care of your baby than your own body? Its a good start to want to give your baby the best but worrying about preservatives being passed through breast milk is going a bit far it would not transfer a severe amount of them, just eat healthy take your prenatals and drink lots of water and your baby will thrive. Dont worry so much about the preservatives until they are eating baby food in which case you can make your own baby food too. I have done it with all 3 of my kids and plan to do it with my 4th.

You can get organically grown food at the grocery, although you will probably pay more for them. We actually grow a bit in our garden, and that is a good source of great food without preservatives. Other than that, you just need to check out the packaging info and be careful what you consume. As you know, it is not easy to do, but that is what needs to be done.
