Is it possible to create another human from one genetic contributor or did God also contribute Genetics in making Jesus' Physical Body?

For those who too sensitives...I'm just asking a question to stimulate thought and plain curious. If you have the desire the answer in a negative fashion...maybe you should look elsewhere.

I don't know. I've never thought about that, but considering God is all powerful, anyway He chose to create Jesus' physical body would be more than sufficient. And since God isn't a physical being, he has no genetics or DNA to contribute.

:)

After Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, he developed in the womb as a normal child. He was a son of Mary, but a unique (only begotten) of God. Since he only had one human parent, his DNA came from Mary.

I wondered what he called Joseph?

Considering Mary was a human, hence, made up of the same genetic material in it's form and function as all of us, and having carried and supported baby Jesus through pregnancy, it would be fair to assume he had the same genetic build. Nature, in her wisdom, wouldn't allow it otherwise.

since God is an all powerful supreme being without limits I think he could handle contributing a few human genetics to make Jesus' physical body...

If it takes two sets of genes, then I would assume The Father contributed His. Since Jesus is The Son Of God, I assume that is the case.

Some bibles give Jesus as 'born of Mary's line' and some as 'born of Joseph's line'. Suigenesis/begotten not made... romance mixes genes to provide variations for evolution's choices. Don't think biologists have found anything to procreate itself. Thank God we only have two different sexes. That's more than enough trouble to be going on with.

If god was actually an alien with access to advanced biogenetic technology he could have bioengineered Jesus anyway he so desired. If the alien god was already a humanoid like us he could have taken his DNA and implanted it in one of Mary's eggs and then used invitro fertilization to implant the egg in Mary's womb. These same techniques will be used by our species when we accomplish faster than light travel and begin to seed other star systems in our image.

Technically, Jesus was part man and part God. God needed a human person to contribute the human aspects of Jesus.

According to scripture, He made mankind from the dust of the ground. Scientists have known for years that all the chemicals in a person's body can be found in the ground.

I know! Why don't you have a creation contest with God to make man out of the dust of the ground? First, though, you have to make your own dirt.
