I got my left ear repierced in a different location 3 weeks ago but it still hurts when I move it from side to side. I don't have an infection because it is not red. I have also been cleaning it with an anti-septic. There was a little blood this morning near the back of my lobe when I went to clean it. How long will this take to heal?

Are you twirling your earring to keep it free moving? If you don't do this, the skin will grow onto the earring. You could still have an infection without it being red. Go see your doctor to make sure. I hope you had it pierced at a reputable place that was clean and that the person who did it was clean also and used clean utensils. Good Luck!!

It really depends.
You shouldn't play with them. That will make things worse. Trust me I have three in each ear.
DO NOT TOUCH THEM UNLESS YOU WASHED YOUR HANDS. NO matter how clean you think your unwashed hands are, they aren't trust me.

First.....
Wash your hands.
Use Epsom Salt, or any kind of anti-bacterial solution you prefer, ( alcohol is a cheapy) around the front and back of the piercing, then twist them in a circle to get the salt in. ( It may hurt like hell, but it cleans it better and gets rid of any infection). The white **** that gets all around the opening is a good thing, that means the insides of the piercing are healing up. No matter how hard they feel, don't touch the piercings unless you are cleaning them.

Give it some more time. No everyone heals at the same rate. It usually takes 4 to 6 weeks to heal. If you got your cartilage pierced, it will take longer.

I just got my tragus pierced 3 weeks ago and they told me it will take 2 to 3 months to fully heal.

you probably have an infection. you may not though, my ears though pierced long ago still bleed once in a while. also, you may have a reaction to the anti-septic you are applying. ask your doctor for more help.

You may have hit something you shouldn't have. I heard the higher up the lobe you go the longer the healing time. If it continues go to the doctor. Take care.

Are the ear rings hypoallergenic? Some people have adverse reactions to piercings that aren't.
