You have to consult a table. 105 calories in a medium banana, 80 in an apple,and 62 in an orange. I recommend The PDR family Guide to Nutrition and Health publish by Medical Economics as an inexpensive worthwhile text and reference.

And fruit certainly does count when you're on a diet! It usually is a good, healthy choice, but you need to be aware of your intake. If you're trying for 1200 calories a day (about what a woman needs to loose) and you eat five pieces of fruit - well, you do the math. Don't cut it out, just write it down.

Fruits and Veggies don't count when you are on a diet.

(it's your average calories over 7 days that is important)

what you eat today is not going to manifest itself on your body for at least a week. (except salts and sugars, they show up as excess water weight)
