Vicodin isn't helping his pain? That stuff takes away any pain, he must really be in bad pain! I had 3 wisdom teeth cut out and it helped me! I guess he needs to be careful and not take too much and not take a bunch of meds at once. The worst of the pain should be about over.

The vicodin should do it, but if he is that much pain I would call the dr back and let him know! He is on some antibiotics right?
If not then take him to another dentist! Usually dentists don't pull teeth when there is an infection!

If has an infection then he should be taking antibiotics as well. The antibiotics may be interfering with the Vicodin.

Go back to the dentist and ask for something else for the pain. I don't know why your dentist gave him Vicodin when an anti-inflammatory would work much better.

Take him back to the dentist because the vicodin should be relieving that pain, it's a strong medication, you never know, he's jaw could be broken!

His gum is infected from teeth benig removed and they didnt give him some antibiotic?

He needs antibiotic. That will quelch the problem and the pain in a few hours. Take him to a GP or your PCP.

Since it has been over 24 hours try warm compresses instead of ice. A hot shower might help. If they were infected he should be on an antibiotic!!!

If he has an infection he should ASAP go to the dentist who will immediately give him a recipe for antibiotics, then he should, after a couple of days go back to the dentist, who will clean the infection. And presto! problem solved.

if he can't stand the pain he can go to the emergency or any clinic and take a voultarine injection ,,, usually the pain will subside after few days , if it doesn't , he needs to visit the dentist again to check if there is any complication to what they did ....

good luck

it sounds. like he is doing everything he can do. Unless he got a dry sockett. then call the doctor and they will pack it with dry sockett paste. you can also buy the same stuff at your pharmacy and do it yourself. its called tea tree oil or clove oil.

It will pass. Just be patient.

If he has vicodin, that should be sufficient.
