What are the advantages and disadvantages?

I say break off all communication for a few months, and then farther down the road you two can be friends again. That way you both no longer have feelings for each other, you might have moved on and are dating other people, and the hurt and pain that was felt as a result of the break-up has subsided.

when i break up i have remained friends with every boyfriend but 2... and that was b/c they are butt holes i have other words.. but okay anyway! the advantages of staying their friends is that even though you guys went out and it didnt work you guys can still have some kind of relationship (friends) but the disadvantages of this is like they could tease you or tell everyone what you guys have done together and you guys oucld end up hating eachother!

If you have any feelings for them you can't remain friends. One or both of you will always be wanting more. I say make a clean break - but that's just my opinion.

advantages: i guess no more troubles from that person.
it wouldn;t matter anymore. you won't care. i guess... a lift off ur shoulders. done.
disadvantages: it feels like a waste. kinda feels wrong like.. it be nice to still be friends... and well... watever you had proablly never ment anything adn you just wasted engery on nothing.
reminding friends:
advantages: becoming GOOD friends.. remembering good memories. learning form eachother. someones who there. and i guess chnces are you mite fall in love again.
disadvantages: the same old crap happens all over again.

Hs to be a clean break up as someone always cares more for the other adn that is what gives them hope that it will start up again
