I have many tattoo's, but I have literally almost passed out when getting a vaccine. I think it's because the vaccine needle is just so long and big and it goes deep. You can't see the actual needle on a tattoo gun because it is moving so fast and it feels nothing like getting a shot.
I don't know, it's pretty weird.

A hollow needle injection is going to hurt more. An injection also goes much deeper than a tattoo. Due to the time it takes to do a tattoo, your body produces endorphins, which numb the pain a bit and make you happy! I LOVE tattoos and the process of getting them, shots give me the creeps too. It seems to be a pretty normal thing.

...because shots are not very nice! Tattoos utilise a different kind of needle as well!
I'm the same as you though, I hate having to have an injection but I don't mind having a tattoo done!
...although, the pain of having an injection is eased if the Doctor administering it is incredibly cute! I've only been that lucky once though!

LoL.. I use to be afraid of needles, right until I was diagnosed with lupus. Its a major difference, most of the pain from a needle is when it goes into the vein, which you don't have to worry about with a Tattoo. From the sounds of it your the norm.

Because there is a BIG difference between a bunch of needles scratching the surface of your skin and one penetrating skin, veins, and muscle. SHOTS hurt, tattos are GREAT.

I'm the same way! I've had over ten piercings and a few tats, but the thought of a shot freaks me out sooo much! I'm glad I'm not the only one. :)

Because when you get a tat you know that the needles arent gonna go very deep into your skin. I hate needles cuz they are always 5 friggin inches long! It scares me!?!

tattoo needles are different than needles for shots.
i have a needle phobia as well but i have tattoos. it just happens.

maybe cause with a shot the needle is going into your skin and not on the surface....
