Well you don't state how old your son is... (25 years old asking why the cat meows is a huge problem :)
If your son is young 2-5 or so.. hes just curious and probably wants to stretch his vocabulary and engage in conversation. Just answer simply and try this.. ask HIM a question! Doing that will make his little mind work internally and probably will get him to do some reasoning and surprise.. he just may answer you with another question... basically just answer when you can... short and sweet with words that will make him try to master them... give him something to mentally chew on.. and relax.. its totally normal and it just means hes smart...and trying to learn.
By the time hes 15 .. he won't be talking to you much so enjoy while you can.
:)
Best of luck

Tell him to get on Yahoo Answers and join in on the abundance of other stupid questions being asked. And YES there are stupid questions with stupid answers to match. He will find a home here.

Is it possible the questions may not be stupid to him? I do not know how old your son is but if he is old enough to read tell him to ask 'goggle'. Set down and spend more time with him looking up answer. Set aside an appointed time for research and investigation.

Give him very long answers to his questions, and give him an assignment with each. He will either quit asking or become a scholar.
I asked lots of questions growing up and my parents did as I advise you. Six months ago I couldn't even spell "scholar..." and now I "are" one. lol By the way, I'm just four years old today! :-)

Yikes... could it be that you find these questions stupid, simply because you don't know the answers, yourself? Not knowing is nothing to be ashamed of, not finding the answers...that's a whole other issue. I think finding the answers together with your child would insure a bond most parents are lacking with their kids today.

Teach him there is a time and place for questions.
Based on your name, I'd say the apple didn't fall too far from the tree.
