In one sense, they are mentally different (from most Christians). Both are given the '2 or more witnesses' principle; the Jews apply it; many 'Christians' here apparently do not (combined with 2 Tim. 3:16-17 (Jewish; Joshua 1:7)). If Christians did, they would realize that the 'old testament' was the law of Moses not Genesis-Malachi. I could give more details here, but will stop for now on that point.

Because of a a misconception of history passed on from one generation to the next for 2,000 yrs that has Jew ancestors responsible for the death of the most important figure in Christianity (Jesus). in short... millenuims long grudge against innocent people

Jews are believers in the one true God.
The only difference with Christians is they did not accept Jesus as the Messiah whom they believe is yet to come.

So they are looking for the Messiah, and Christians are looking for the return of the Messiah, since they do believe Jesus was the Messiah.

BTW: Those Jews that I know that have accepted Christ have become outcasts to their family.
