Need Dating help it's been 21 years?

Question

I am recently divorced after 21 years. We just couldn't live together, no baggage to worry about. Question is, I go to a store about 2 to 3 times a week and there is this woman who is at the check out stand. She seems nice. From conversations I have over heard she has a son. She is not wearing a wedding ring. Is it OK to ask her to go out on a date while she is working. I am not a subtle kind of guy, so is this just too forward or not. I would try and ask when no other customers are around to avoid the possible embarassment on both parts. Help

When you are in the store, and not holding up anyone else, start a general conversation with her. Ask her advice in preparing a meal, mentioning that you are divorced, and a little unsure. This notifys her that you are available. Over a period of time, you can build a talking relationship. See where it leads. If she has no interest you will be able to tell, if she has an interest, it will develop. Take your time, you're not in any rush.

first, i would make sure that she is not married or in a relationship. then if she's not, i would try to ask her a few things that she's interested in and what she likes to do. after talking to her, i would plan a date around something that she enjoys and ask her out. good luck!
