So 5 months have come and gone; now it is all over. I was dumped by a pompous, conceded jerk. He claims that he is of a higher intelligence and does not want to waist his time with some one of an average intelligence. What is the fastest way to get over him?

dude, give yourself some time to get over it. I remember when i broke up with my first girlfriend (the relationship lasted five months too) i thought the world had ended. I resumed doing the things that I had put off doing when I was with her: hanging out with friends, picked back up playing soccer as a hobby, made contact with family, etc. You will soon forget that person and start back to enjoy your life.
Also, if you want to cry, dude, do it. It always makes u feel better. Hey, meeting someone new always helps too! ;-)
Maybe this person was not for you. The fact that he thinks he is smarter than you shows that.

I found the best way to get over a break up is to plop down in front of a television screen for 8 hours and eat a tub of ice cream. Try crying too, it will bring up all the good memories once again causing you to sink deeper into isolation and despair. Once most of the emptiness resides, repress the remaining feelings. Emotions are over-rated, and you dont need to take s*** from anybody.

There is no "quick fix" you have to allow yourself to deal with the pain. Just realize you deserve better. Support yourself and realize you have a lot to offer the right man when he comes around. For now, I recommend cutting off all communication with him, no e-mails, no text messages, instant messages. If you have AOL erase him from you buddy list. Put away everything that he got you or reminds you of him. Allow yourself to cry and be hurt. It's okay. You'll be okay sweety. This is just showing you, you haven't met the right one yet :)
