Dont try it. Now, they can check your id on the computer and there is quite a fine for trying to pass off a fake id

Possibly some information off the id. However if they really think you are giving them a fake they may just tell you to leave. Of course you also run the chance of a cop being in the store or them calling one and then you are looking at a bigger problem.

He'd ask you what your sign is. Most likely people with fake ids can't tell you what the sign is for the fake birthday on it. It's a sure way to catch the under 21 crowd.

They probably wouldn't waste time asking questions. They have a right to refuse service for just about any reason and if they suspect you're using a fake license, they probably don't have justify it in any way.
