You can get the NIV version and then get the study bible, it'll help out alot. Then there's the Amplified, it's good. Maybe be even better than the NIV, depending on who's reading it. But whatever you do get in the Word and stay in the Word of God. It's the Word of God that will keep you.

A friend recently sent me an NIV (New International Version) Study Bible. It's very easy to follow, and if you don't understand something, more often than not it's explained on the bottom half of the page. What could be easier?

Try "Good News for Modern Man". It is a "plain English" version of the Bible. Also please remember that the Bible is riddled with errors and inaccuracies and that you should also study the mistakes. The bible was meant to be a moral guide, not to be taken as exactly accurate - that is a misuse of the bible, no matter what anybody tells you.

The KJV, is easy to understand. You need to look for the meaning of the words. Such as leave in old english was tipically used as the word permission. It is gramatically correct to use KJV English today but it will sound a little funny to most people.
Start use a dictionary. My reading and writing skills have improved much due to the KJV Bible.
I wish you the best.
Happy holidays.

NIV-- New international version. Also I think there is a "family" Bible that is supposed to be in plain english. if you go to a place that sells strictly Christian books, they should have all types for you. You can also try online. I hope this helps. Blessings to you.

They have many in plain English. I like using the New World Translation, because it uses our everyday language, the way we speak today. You could ask someone about it and view it first to see if you would be interested in one. Also the New International version uses similar language.

The New Living Translation or the Message Bible might be a couple to look into.

There used to be one called
" The Simple English Bible".....if it's still available.
Ask at your local Christian bookstore
If you can't find that one , The New International Version would be my second choice

New Intenational Version is a pretty easy read. The New King James is pretty good too.
Remember though, some things are just a little confusing when you read over them, some take a little more study to get them.
